This realistic replica of the English grass snake is life-size sized. The Natrix natrix is modeled and detailed as if moving through its natural habitat.
The Grass Snake (Natrix natrix), sometimes called the Ringed Snake or Water Snake is a European, non-venomous snake. It is typically dark green or brown in color with a characteristic yellow collar behind the head. They prey almost entirely on amphibians, especially the common toad and common frog, but they may also occasionally eat mammals and fish. The Grass Snake is distributed throughout lowland areas of England and Wales but is almost absent from Scotland and not found at all in Ireland, which has no indigenous snakes. In England, the species is protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and cannot be harmed or even handled without appropriate permission.
The grass snake is delivered without a base.
